The Senior Administrator will be responsible for the pre-collateralisation and settlement processing of Securities Lending trades; ensuring all necessary action is taken to investigate, and enabling timely settlement for all security transactions including Fixed Income, Equity and Collateral activity, whilst acting as point of contact for all queries raised by both the trading desk and/or the relationship management team on behalf of the Client.
Trade Management
Trades are to be pre-matched where possible and resolution is sought on all failed trades with action taken to resolve within a timely manner to avoid financial and reputational risk to both the Client and BNYM.
Client Servicing/Relationships
Liaise with the Client, Client Services and internal departments to ensure enquiries are responded to and maintain internal/external client satisfaction.
Reconciliation Clearance
Action all reconciliation discrepancies and assigned breaks within specified deadlines in order to provide a high quality service and minimise risk to the organisation.
Decision Making Authority
Exhibit the ability to make sounds judgement decisions whilst considering the wider implications and risks of specific proposals
Required to actively seek and improve networks across other departments and use the relationships in an effective manner in order to enhance the overall group performance
Performance Management
Track the performance of each of the assigned tasks in order to ensure that they are operating efficiently and effectively.
Personal Development
Investigate opportunities for self development and improving knowledge of the business that you are servicing in order to improve skills and knowledge and deliver maximum service levels
Measures of success:
Ø    Adherence to departmental procedures
Ø    All transactions and tasks are accurately processed within published deadlines.
Ø    All transactions are investigated and escalated in accordance with procedures.
Ø    Where possible all trades are pre-matched to avoid potential fails and improve settlement performance.
Ø    All failed trades are investigated and escalated to the trading desk wherever necessary.
Ø    All Client queries are responded to in a timely manner.
Ø    All Client service level agreements are adhered to.
Ø    Daily checklist is completed at the designated time.
Ø    All personal objectives are met
Ø    Evidence of personal achievement is provided regularly to management
Ø    Demonstrates areas of self-motivation and proactive actions that go beyond expectation.


Previous experience in a financial services environment in a Trade Processing or Collateral Management role is preferable.
Qualifications and Training:
Ø    Minimum education to GCSE level or equivalent - 5 passes (including English and Mathematics), and 2 A-Levels or equivalent.
Ø    Degree Preferred
Ø    Must be prepared to complete industry standard qualifications as required.
