Exposure Management and Reinsurance Analyst - 4 month FTC

Context:

This 4 month secondment/placement represents an opportunity for someone to gain experience of the tasks undertaken within the team responsible for understanding Lloyd's catastrophe risk and reinsurance, with a strong regulatory focus.

The Role:

To support the Exposure Management and Reinsurance teams.

What Will You Do:

  • Benchmarking and analysing syndicate exposures
  • Monitoring market level catastrophe risk
  • Providing regular internal and external risk reporting
  • Generate exposure metrics and context for regulatory returns
  • Assist in the consideration of exposure monitoring relating to emerging risks within the market
  • Running, maintaining and developing Lloyd's Catastrophe Model
  • Providing exposure metrics relating to 'Vision 2025'


What You'll Need

Key skills needed for this role are:

  • Thorough knowledge of R and SQL programming languages.
  • An understanding of, and ability to communicate on, basic mathematical and statistical methodologies.
  • An understanding of, as well as ability to communicate on, stochastic and deterministic models.
  • Work experience in an analytical role could be advantageous.
