Key Responsibilities
Capitalab, a Quantitative Finance Division of BGC Brokers, is looking for a highly talented, energetic, confident, delivery-oriented graduate or experienced junior salesperson to work within the Capitalab front-office team. The successful candidate will be based in London’s Canary Wharf Headquarters and will manage the on-boarding of new clients and grow on-going revenues from existing clients.

Group Description
The Capitalab division is a quantitative financial technology group within BGC, founded January 2015, responsible for optimising portfolios of financial derivatives for large investment banks and buy-side clients. Based in London and Singapore, the teams work directly with Capitalab senior management to develop and run innovative, revenue-facilitating, market-leading services within the Capital Markets industry.
You will be working as one of the early joiners of the division, with a huge potential to grow an already successful business. Suited for a highly motivated self-starter. The Capitalab division is a high-profile new business for BGC.

Essential Experience
•    Highly talented graduate (First or 2:1 minimum from top-tier university)
•    Excellent communication skills and fluency in business English


Desirable Experience
•    Language skills (particularly European languages) beneficial
•    Mathematical ability with a desire to master complex quantitative financial pricing and risk concepts, particularly relating to non-linear derivatives (e.g. options on various asset classes)


Soft Skills
•    Highly motivated self-starter and entrepreneurial approach
•    Capable of managing own workload, while providing regular feedback to management
•    Confident communicator capable of working directly for stakeholders and managing client relationships
•    Collaborative approach to working as part of a global team
•    Ability to work in a demanding environment
•    Keen attention to detail
•    Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
•    Confidence to manage and work with high profile large clients and partners effectively
•    Excellent organisational and time-management skills
