Purpose: Support Providers of data (territories) and Consumers (i.e. consuming systems). Conduct input data checks on People MDM inputs and onboarding of territories. Liaison between territory, on-boarding Project Team, Business Implementation Team (BIT) Lead and People MDM. Resolve and escalate Provider and Consumer incidents as required.

About the team (PMDM) The people MDM is a global system of record for all internal People data, the PMDM team are responsible for the management and maintenance of this system. We provide daily support to our Stakeholders (HC Providers and various Consumer applications) by monitoring and reporting on the quality of data in and out of PMDM
Responsibilities/Duties: Support Onboarding of Territories, Territory Go-Live and Access Management:

  • Facilitate the creation of Office locations and Legal Entities in Synaptica and Source respectively
  • Work with technical team to write knowledge base documents
  • Liaison between the PMDM On-boarding Project Team (mainly the Business Implementation Team (BIT) Lead and Source MDM team)
  • Provide support during Territory Go-Live in Stabilization Period
  • Monitor system generated error messages and execute appropriate action planning
  • Monitor data submissions made by territories
  • Undertake Data Quality monitoring and reporting activities
  • Support Transition to Business-As-Usual by holding Provider, BIT Lead and GI Ops calls to close out any outstanding IT issues and plug any knowledge gaps
  • Give access to the provider to the standard PwC IT ticketing system (SM9 ESS) and ensure provider is also trained on how to use it
  • Operationalize and maintain a Data Steward network established as part of C2C blueprint including engagement with the stewards community
  • Resolve and escalate Provider and Consumer incidents as required,
  • Manage access including review and approval/denial of access requests to various environments e.g. Provider Staging, Production etc.
  • Manage and publish various documents and communications as they are developed
  • Continually look at ways to improve day to day activities
  • Provide support to PMDM Operations Leads

Data Quality Check activities:
  • Perform Data quality checks at file level, pre-production level, production level and in live environment
  • Develop and maintain mandatory data validation process with the support from C2C team as required for PMDM
  • Check for DQ issues such as duplicate records in PMDM, records with incomplete information, or records with errors i.e. records not conforming to the prescribed syntax
  • Review at data quality scores as a way of identifying the issues where DQ is a problem by maintaining and reviewing dashboards
Operational Reporting Activities:
  • Generate internal operational reports to assess the health checks and run system generated reporting for regular as well as leadership-specific requests
  • Document operational processes and polices
  • Measure PMDM though daily, weekly or monthly reports
  • Daily monitoring and review of
Education and Awareness
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems or related fields advantageous but not essential
  • Understanding of MDM processes, tools, architecture, Data Quality, Data Integration, Data modeling and mapping
  • Understanding of Change Management and Document Management
  • Knowledge of technology platforms such as Synaptica, VSTS, SM9 etc.
  • Knowledge of operationalizing SLAs and Ticket Management
Work-Experience
  • Experience in data analysis, data modeling, data integration, data profiling, with at least some experience in MDM applications
  • Proven experience in MDM documentation/ operationalizing SLAs/ Incident and Ticketing Management /Operational Reporting/DQ checks in a financial services-led organization
  • Experience of tracking and sharing documentation and communications using Excel sheets.
  • Experience in managing and publishing documentation and communication via various channels
  • Experience with data and information architecture: dimensional data modeling & schema design in Data Warehouses (preferred), service design, development & implementation for ingestion and consumption
  • Experience in technology platforms such as VSTS, SM9, and Synaptica etc.
Skills
  • Ability to partner with a cross-functional team, executive leadership, subject matter experts and data stewards, to contribute to an overarching, holistic data communication and documentation governance strategy
  • Ability to work with multiple territories and communicate information about the services to stakeholders across the PwC network
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Strong documentation management skills, Reporting skills, analytical skills and ability to understand existing business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills , service orientated
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills would prove to be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills with effective organization and management skills is a must
  • Strong teamwork and customer advocacy skills (data-driven)
  • Display multitasking ability and should be ready to work in a fast paced work environment
